Course Information
Our instructors work hard to provide hands-on, practical and real world applications in all our courses. We strive to keep the material fun and
interactive throughout the courses. Participation by students is encouraged through a variety of exercises that help promote learning. All our courses
have been audited and approved by the Michigan Department of Consumer and Industry Services (MDCIS).
Certified Renovator Initial Training
The training is required for renovations performed for compensation in pre-1978 target housing (housing built before 1978) and in pre-1978
child occupied facilities where more than 6 square feet (s.f.) of interior paint, 20 s.f. of exterior paint are disturbed or when a window or
windows are replaced. This rule became effective April 22, 2010.
Cost: $175 per student 8 hour course

Asbestos Management Planner Refresher Training Course
This 4 hour training course provides a review of subjects covered in the
Management Planner initial course. The Management Planner is the person
who develops the written program for managing asbestos containing
materials identified during the asbestos building inspection. Changes
to regulations, interpretations and a review of state-of-the -art
practices are covered.
Cost: $100 per student 4 hour course

Asbestos Project Designer Refresher Training Course
This 8 hour training course includes a plan to oversee all aspects of
small and large asbestos abatement projects for K-12 schools. A Project
Designer is a person who develops the written procedures to ensure each
project meets established regulatory requirements, deadlines and
financial guidelines. Changes to regulations, interpretations and a
review of state-of-the-art practices are covered.
Cost: $100 per student 4 hour course

Asbestos Contractor Supervisor Initial Training Course
This is a forty-hour course designed to cover all mandatory topics required by the State of Michigan and current OSHA regulations for the
supervision of asbestos abatement projects. It is useful for asbestos abatement project supervisors, building administrators and maintenance staff.
The goal of this course is to have students leave understanding the overall requirements of an asbestos removal project.
Cost: $500 per student

Asbestos Contractor Supervisor Refresher Training Course
This 8-hour State of Michigan-approved course covers all of the mandatory topics required in the Asbestos Construction Standard. Our seasoned

Asbestos Building Inspector Initial Training
This 24-hour course covers all of the mandatory topics required by the State of Michigan, OSHA, AHERA and the Model Accreditation Plan (MAP).
This class is required for asbestos building inspectors and may be useful for those persons conducting Phase 1 ESAs, facility managers, architects and more.
Cost: $300 per student

Asbestos Hazard Awareness Training
This two-hour course, meets the OSHA and EPA requirements for school custodial, maintenance staff, contractors and building occupants.
Students will learn about asbestos related health issues, asbestos use and history, basic asbestos control measures and more.
Cost: $300 per class (up to ten students) plus applicable travel expenses, or $30 per student attending a scheduled class

Lead Hazard Awareness Training
This course teaches students about basic health effects associated with lead exposure, discusses basic control options, and covers decontamination
procedures. Provisions of the lead compliance program, necessary for every lead job, are also reviewed.
Cost: $325 per class (up to ten students) plus travel expenses if any.
