Indoor Air Quality Lab

Our Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Laboratory is outfitted with an AIRFILTRONIX HEPA filter equipped fume hood and an Olympus BH-2 Microscope with a 100X magnification immersion oil objective.

With this equipment we can analyze (e.g. Zefon Air-O-Cell, Micro5 Microcell, Cyclex-D cassette) samples for the presence of mold, pollen and other particulate (e.g. fiberglass, cellulose, gypsum, opaque particles, etc.). The protocol employed in our IAQ laboratory was published by Fibertec IHS Vice President Phillip Peterson in the 1997 publication of Environmental Choices. The protocol has since been revised.

Indoor Air Quality Investigations

Our staff of industrial hygienists are also trained and equipped to conduct indoor air quality investigations. Whether it's sick building syndrome, building related illness, poor ventilation or mold to blame for air quality problems, our staff of highly trained and well equipped professionals can identify the source of the problem(s) and make recommendations for corrective action. Nothing beats careful visual observations when conducting such investigations, but when sampling is desired our staff our equipped for the task at hand.

Our equipment includes a carbon dioxide meter, four gas meters, temperative probes, relative humidity samplers, appropriate sampling media, and more.
